Things are not always what they appear to be on the surface. Often there are hidden dimensions, deeper layers of meaning.

From appearances, you and I happened to sit nearby and work on a project together on the job. Beneath that surface, there is another reality. You have become a trusted friend and confidant, and you have been a consistent source of support for the work of bringing this inspiration project to fruition. You understand what work like this can mean to people. You get it.

In the face of many difficult life challenges and health challenges – both your own and those of others in your family – you have maintained a positive spirit, and have remained concerned about the well-being of the rest of us, as well as yourself. You manage to laugh and find humor in events every day, and sometimes that’s not so easy!

As I said in the first issue of the project newsletter, I was blown away when you mentioned that you were counting on me and the Inspiration Project to help you get through some tough medical procedures ahead. And as I said then, I won't let you down.

Through it all, you have reminded me that what you do and what I do – what we all do – matters. Thanks for the reminder – it’s an important lesson.
