Our family was always eager to participate in whatever activities each member of the family was involved. When Dad was manager of your team, he was elected President of the Cheviot Hills Little League. You were a pitcher/shortstop for the Stars and then the Angels, I became the league secretary. It was an enjoyable activity to keep the team records and schedules. I attended your games and marveled at how well you played baseball. And, that was just another example of how the whole family supported each person's activities.

When you were in high school you wanted to write an article for the school newspaper, The Federalist, which was criticial of the treatment of the students by the administration. It appeared that the students were not trusted to be responsible; and the article was not printed. That set into motion the birth of Insight - your underground newspaper. It was creatively written and was positively received by all who read it. Television news programs did a report on Insight; articles were written in newspapers and magazines. You reacted to all this attention with modesty.

It was when a friend of yours called and congratulated mom on your perfect 800 score on the math section of the College Boards. You hadn't mentioned it at all. You inspired not only me, but also students in your classes. It was not acceptable to you when a classmate was demeaned by others. You supported those who were not fairly, and that endeared you to the 'all too easily ignored' students.

It must now be mentioned how you have inspired so many with your music. You have the ability to learn musical instruments quickly and also you find it easy to write songs. Whenever there was a special ocassion in our family, you would compose a song. And you compiled your Family Album - a CD of nine of the songs you wrote. The songs are meaningful; and the accomplishments they describe, will honor the family members about whom they were written.

You had a vision for a community internet site. And from that, LA Bridge was created. It inspired people to participate in a variety of events that were listed in the calendar section. After several years, you were ready to move on to bigger and better things. That brings us to The Inspiration Project. This will prove to be one of the most meaningful and inspirational things to which you have given life.

Over your lifetime you have inspired many people to do many things. I am one of those you inspired, and for that, I am very appreciative and grateful.
