This web site brings the Roots of Inspiration Network to life. It is a social networking site where you can collect and connect with the sources of inspiration in your life. As each of us reaches out to our circle, and indirectly to the circles beyond us, we bring the Roots of Inspiration Network to life – making visible the direct and indirect impacts we have on each other. Think of it as ‘six degrees of inspiration’.
We hope to demonstrate the truth of the Butterfly Effect, as it applies to each of us and our impact on the world. The Butterfly Effect describes and demonstrates how an action as small as a butterfly flapping its wings can have a major impact on world weather patterns. And with our efforts, we will show how it applies to people as well – how each of us is the result of thousands of inspirational acts, and how each of us takes actions that have a major impact felt by thousands of people.
By telling the stories of how people have inspired you, you give them valuable feedback about how important they are to you. And by sharing those stories with the rest of the network, you can spread the inspiration to them, too.
